Harwich Parkrun Review
I will have to get quicker so that their is less footage to speed up as it hurts your eyes a little when you speed it up that much!
I was hoping to make it round in less than 30 minutes but the Christmas holidays gluttony of food and drink seems to of got the better of me and I made it round in a modest 30 minutes and 48 seconds.
After a quicker run last week at the much hillier Colchester Parkrun course, it was a sharp reminder I still have a lot of work to do.
The Harwich Parkrun course is predominatley flat (officially ranked 40th in Parkrun elevation rankings) and if the weather is kind to you, fast.
After a small lap of the park, you go down a short hill, take a sharp right and run along the seafront all the way to the end of the promenade.
Once you reach the end of the promenade, you turn around and retrace your route back to the park by going back up the short hill and the finish is by the bandstand where you started.
It is one of those courses that requires very little thinking, which is probably why I like it!
Average number of runners per week – 89.7
Biggest attendance – 175
Average run time – 29 minutes and 39 seconds
