Powerbeats³ Wireless Earphones

I was kinda lucky here as I won the Powerbeats³ Wireless earphones as part of a comptition run by the National Fitness Network so did not have to pay for them.

Up until now I had always used the Apple earphones you get with your iPhone as they always seemed to do the job.

I was quite excited about trying these out as I had been looking at getting a pair of Beats By Dre headphones for the gym, although admittedly I probably would of got the Beats Solo³ headphones and not earphones by choice.

This is what Beats By Dre says:

THE REVIEW

Looking at the reviews online they seem to be getting a real mixed reaction. Either people love them or hate them.

Firstly, the battery life is amazing, charging is super fast and the bluetooth pairing is really easy with my iPhone, Macbook Pro and iMac but with Beats By Dre now owned by Apple I would fully expect them to seamlessly work with Apple products. You simply press the small button on left earphone and a notice pops up on your device asking if you would like to connect (see screenshots below).

I am no sound connoisseur and if I am honest I am not looking for the clearest perfect sound when I am working out, I just want it to be loud and comfortable!

It certainly lives up to that. Working out was even easier as the wireless function meant not getting tangled in wires or your phone suddenly dropping on the floor because you have moved to quickly.

The look and feel is great and they do not fall out when running, in the gym or just out and about.

The real problem that most people seem to be complaining about online is they are not as sweat proof as Beats by Dre claim. Although the same people in the reviews claim they are on their 3rd or 4th pair so they can’t be that bad if people keep buying the same product?!

Personally I haven’t experience this problem which says something about my workouts or it is not that bad of a problem!

CONCLUSION

If your buying them for what they are ment for and that is working out you will not be dissapointed. They are incredibly simple to use and really comfortable with a very long battery life. If your expecting to hear the most amazing crystal clear cut sounds with a thumping bass these are pretty good but there are better most expensives headphones available.
